open your eyes for a second, just to roll them at me
[Shinji shuts the door behind himself with his foot. This is unusual but not unheard of; however, when one does hear of it, it's usually because Shinji is in a foul mood. Well, that on its own is less unusual, but when Shinji starts manhandling furniture, it's generally attributed to a specific type of foul mood. Basically, instead of just exasperation with the world around him, Shinji's feeling offended over something.
Unfortunately, he's reticent at best, and passive aggressive on a bad day. So when Shinji toes the door shut, shoves his shoes off with misplaced aggression, and drops his book bag onto the counter in the kitchenette, he doesn't address his roommate about anything that's bothering him. Instead, he picks a completely new thing to be pissed off about: ]
Nagisa, I thought you were going to do the dishes. Didn't I ask you to do the dishes?
[That's "hello" for the day; Shinji had left very early this morning, and didn't bother to catch Nagisa for a morning greeting.]
